More changes coming

So, what's going on? Well, Ryan and I just found out a couple of days ago we will be moving to Hawaii in September. We are both pretty excited about it. The Washington weather has basically taken it's tole on us. I'm not exactly sure when it's supposed to get warm here. People who are from here say Washington has wonderful summers. Well, since living here, I've experienced less than a handful of nice days. Mostly it's cold and gloomy. It's depressing. I've heard Seattle is number 1 for suicide rates. I can see why. The rain can be too much. I'm not saying I'm suicidal, so don't go crazy on me. I'm just throwing some facts out there. So I have visited Hawaii a couple of times and absolutely loved it. I know things will be different when I actually live and work there. It won't be vacation every day. However, it will be nice to have beautiful weather all year round. I love flip flops. Hawaii is flip flop season all year round. Woo hoo! We were thinking originally that we might be able to move to San Diego or Georgia. We wanted to stay inland since we're having a baby. I guess there were no boats available for Ryan with his rank and department. So his options were Washington, Hawaii, or Guam. We talked before he had to make this decision and decided we don't want to stay in Washington. We both like warm, sunny weather. It's sad because it's June, and we have the heat on. I'm wearing a sweatshirt. That's just sad. I told Ryan after he gets out of the Navy, we'll have to move somewhere warm because there's no way, after living in warm sunny paradise for 3 years that we'll be able to move somewhere cold. So basically, we only have like 2 months left to deal with the Washington weather. So when it starts getting even colder here, we'll be moving to paradise. So anyways, that's the newest news in the world of Ryan and Sasha. So in other news, I'm still pregnant. My first official appointment is June 28. I will be 12 weeks by then. I will receive my first ultrasound and see the little bundle of joy. I'm very excited. It will be a very special moment for Ryan and me. I can't wait to see his face when he hears the heartbeat for the first time. Wouldn't that be completely crazy if there were 2 heartbeats? I really don't think there will be, but you never know. Apparently I'm up next in line to have twins. It runs in my family. So I will be having a baby in Hawaii. Never in a million years did I think that would happen. Life has definitely changed drastically for me in the past year. Well, my house is still on the market. Boo. So I had a showing yesterday. Apparently it was a second showing. The buyer interested is going between my house and another house. I'm keeping my fingers crossed she chooses mine. I keep praying non stop that someone will be interested enough in it that they'll make an offer. It would be so very helpful if my house sold. I'm completely losing money on it right now. I'm making payments on an empty house. That's just depressing. I refuse to rent it out. I don't care what restrictions I put in the lease, I don't trust renters. I can see someone coming in and turning the place into a complete mess. So I make them pay a deposit. If they ruin things, I'm not there to fix it. How is it fare to ask someone else to fix it? Or if I rented it out, who would look after it for me? It's too much stress. I don't want to deal with it. So I will make payments on it until it sells. I find that very annoying and stressful, but what else can I do? So anyways, I'm keeping my fingers crossed the buyer wants my house. I hope mine offers more than the other one she's interested in. So how is work? Well, I don't like the ER. I have definitely decided it's not where I want to be. I'm so bored working there. It's such a small ER, nothing good walks through the door. I like taking care of healthy patients. I'm over the ER. So I will definitely look for a labor and delivery job once I get to Hawaii. I'm going to try the travel nurse thing again, and see if they can hook me up with a job. So I guess there's a lot going on in my life right now. We're moving in a few months, I'm pregnant, and my house is still looking for a new owner. Well, I'm hoping Ryan is approved for leave in August. I really want to come home before we move to Hawaii. It's basically my last chance to come home before baby is born. It will be nice to visit home with my husband. I haven't been on a plane with him for a very long time. Ok, well, I've said enough for now. Good night. We love and miss you all.

Home again

Well, I had a wonderful trip home. It was nice seeing my family and friends. I never knew how homesick I was until I actually went home. I didn't realize I would be so busy. It's hard trying to fit everyone in. I tried to spread my time evenly with everyone. I feel like I could have seen some people more. It was hard. It makes it nice knowing I'll be going back home in August. Next time around Ryan will be with me. That will be really nice. It was nice coming home to Ryan. I was excited when I saw his face at the airport. I hope we are able to visit home together from now on. I know his family misses him. I know he misses his family. So now I have to get back to reality. I go back to work tomorrow. I'm not so excited about it. I miss working in labor and delivery. The ER is just not my thing any more. I actually like not working. The thing is, I like receiving a paycheck. So I guess I have to keep working. Well, officially today, I am 9 weeks pregnant. I need to make an appointment with a doctor. Ryan is really excited about it. I can't wait to see his face when he hears the heartbeat for the first time. I will be excited too. It will be different to actually be the patient and hearing the heart beat coming from me. So we're both excited. We have a long way to go. I'm not even showing yet which is good considering I'm still very early along. So anyways, we are getting ready to watch a movie. I will check back soon.
